During the day, prosecutor Liselott Herschend will present the evidence contained in the case, which largely consists of testimony.

- We will also find out how the defendants stand on these charges. Two of them have denied crime in police interrogations and one has admitted. But that may have changed to today, we don't know that yet, says SVT reporter Lotta Sandhammar, who is present at the trial.

Reported himself to the police

A pastor, Peter Gembäck, has acknowledged that he subjected parishioners to abuse and unlawful coercion. He has what first revealed to the police how the conditions in the congregation looked.

- He gives a picture of a power structure where an inner circle has ruled the parishioners. Four of the women plaintiffs that Åsa Waldau must have abused have been intent on watching out for her. There have been a lot of punishments.

What does Åsa Waldau say about the charges against her?

- It's divided. She denies crime, but she also admits that there has been easier violence among ward members. No violence has been directed at her since she was the Bride of Christ. But she has said that there have been easier blows, pushes, pulled hair, as a kind of rebuke, says Lotta Sandhammar.

Denies allegations of abuse

A third pastor has been charged with sexually exploiting a person in a dependency position. He refuses a crime.

The victim's name is classified and therefore prosecutors have requested that the entire trial be held behind closed doors.
