Marlaska dismisses the secretary of state and the director of the Civil Guard for the management in Catalonia

Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska has decided to dispense with three of the people who have accompanied him during the last year and a half in the ministry. Ana Botella, Secretary of State for Security, and Félix Azón, General Director of the Civil Guard, are two of the top posts dismissed.

The third person is Mar Edo, his Director of Communication, who has also been with him all this time and who already had extensive previous experience in Interior, since he was the director of communication for Penitentiary Institutions in the previous socialist era.

The reason for the cessations, as this newspaper has learned, has been the management of security in Catalonia in the case of Bottle and Azón.
