Iran detains stakeholders suspected of being involved in downing a passenger aircraft Jan. 14 at 20:53

A spokesman for the Iranian Justice Department has stated that it has detained several officials for allegedly involved in shooting down a Ukrainian airliner.
While the investigations by the countries concerned began, the emphasis was on strict handling of internal and external concerns as domestic dissatisfaction increased.

In Iran, military tensions with the United States were rising, and on August 8, a Ukrainian Airline passenger plane crashed near the capital Tehran, killing all 176 passengers and crew.

The Iranian army has announced that it has mistakenly shot down the previous explanation on the 11th and has begun accepting on-site investigations by Ukraine and other related nations.

In response, the Iranian State News Agency on Tuesday reported that a Judicial spokesman said that "in connection with the shoot-down, several people have been detained and investigations are continuing."

No specific numbers or affiliations are mentioned.

On the other hand, President Louhani emphasized that "it's not just one mistake, we have to investigate every aspect", and said that the judicial authorities should set up a special court to deal with it.

In Iran, victims included many Iranians, and leaders initially protested in various parts of the country in an attempt to conceal the shootings down. The attitude to deal with is emphasized inside and outside.
