At Elin Wägnerskolan in Växjö, a 6th class got to meet researcher Rafael Messias Martin, who is a university lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Media Technology.
- It's fun to come out and meet students and good for me to think about how I can tell about research in a way that makes it easy to understand and gets closer to them. We need new talented researchers in the future, ”he says.
Hope to increase interest in science
Science outreach is part of the project “Towards new heights” where researchers inspire teachers and pupils in compulsory school to an increased interest in science, technology and mathematics.
