A 37-year-old man died Monday afternoon in his building, rue Vauban in Illzach, in the Haut-Rhin. When help arrived around 5 p.m., he was in cardio-respiratory arrest, according to L'Alsace .

A neighborhood conflict seems to be the cause of this death. Around 4:30 p.m., a fight broke out between his two neighbors and blows were exchanged. The victim collapsed on the stairs before neighbors warned the firefighters. In vain.

The alleged perpetrator, a 38-year-old man, was taken into police custody by the gendarmes according to the regional daily. An investigation has been opened. The Illzach territorial brigade and the Mulhouse research brigade are responsible for this.
