Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were surprised last week when they announced they want to step back from their royal commitments. Today, the Queen has called for a crisis meeting with those involved, a meeting that is described as historical.
James Savage, founder of The Local newspaper, does not believe the British monarchy is under threat. However, he believes that there is no place to be sentimental in the royal house.
"In the end, it's all about protecting the monarchy," he says.
