Abe heads to Saudi Arabia for next visit to UAE on January 13 19:49

Prime Minister Abe, who has been visiting the Middle East, left Saudi Arabia before 7:00 pm Japan time and headed for the next country to visit, the UAE. Upon his arrival, he will meet with Prince Mohammad Abu Dhabi to exchange views to ease tensions in the Middle East.

Prime Minister Abe held a series of meetings with Saudi Arabia and Prince Mohammad in Saudi Arabia, the first country to visit, on the 12th and 13th of June, early in the daytime. They agreed that nations should mobilize for mitigation.

After finishing his schedule in Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Abe headed to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE-United Arab Emirates, on his next visit to the UAE by government aircraft just before 7:00 pm Japan time.

UAE, like Saudi Arabia, is a Sunni pro-American family, is in opposition to Iran, and participates in a US-led coalition.

After arriving, Prime Minister Abe will meet with Prince Mohammad Abu Dhabi, discussing the importance of dialogue between the countries concerned to ease tensions in the Middle East, and discussing the dispatch of SDF to Japanese vessels. I would like to explain that the Self-Defense Forces will collect information to ensure the safety of the city, and to gain an understanding.
