U.S. Secretary of Defense "Don't See Critical Information on Four U.S. Embassy Attacks" January 13 at 6:45 pm

Secretary of Defense Esper said he had not seen definitive information indicating a clear threat, saying that four U.S. embassies had been targeted at the grounds that U.S. President Trump killed the Iranian commander. The grounds for Trump's decision are likely to continue to be controversial.

In a TV show interview on Tuesday, President Trump claimed that he had attempted to attack four U.S. embassies in support of ordering the killing of Iranian commander Soleimani.

Secretary of Defense Esper said in a CBS television program on Wednesday that there was definitive information indicating a clear threat, but said "I have not seen the four embassies." Revealed that he did not know the specific information.

"We knew that U.S. facilities were under immediate threat, but it was difficult to tell where the attacks would take place," said O'Brien, assistant secretary for security policy at the White House, in FOX News. He acknowledged that no specific information was available.

Opposition and Democratic parties have repeatedly questioned whether the threat was really imminent over the killing of the Iranian commander, and the grounds for President Trump's decision are likely to continue to spark controversy.
