This was announced by the speaker of the country's parliament Valery Kvarchia.

“Tomorrow the parliament will consider the statement on the resignation of the President of Abkhazia Raul Khadzhimba,” Interfax quotes him.

Kvarchia also expressed support for the decision to fulfill the duties of the country's leader until the new presidential election by Prime Minister Valery Bganba, noting that it was “absolutely within the framework of the Constitution”.

Earlier it became known that Khajimba decided to resign.

According to the country's vice president Aslan Bartsits, such measures are necessary to maintain stability in the state.

On January 10, a court in Abkhazia declared the results of the second round of the presidential election last fall and the decision of the court of first instance illegal.
