According to the publication, about 25 minutes after take-off, the 25-year-old girl asked the stewardess to give the pilot a note stating that a bomb was attached to her body and that she could detonate the airliner at any time. In this regard, it was decided to return to the airport of departure.
At the airport, the girl was detained by law enforcement officers. No explosive device was found during searches.
At the moment, it is not known what prompted the detainee to report the threat of an explosion and thereby return the plane to Calcutta.
