It is specified that one of the common interests is the preservation of the nuclear non-proliferation regime and the exclusion of the possibility of its development by Iran.

"It is imperative that Iran return to full compliance with its obligations under the agreement," the report says.

The parties also noted a commitment to de-escalation and stability in the region.

Johnson and Merkel previously reaffirmed their commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

The United States called on Russia and other countries to abandon the nuclear agreement with Iran.

Britain and the Federal Republic of Germany announced that they were continuing their obligations under the Iranian nuclear deal.
