Heavy rains that fell yesterday evening and in the early hours of the morning, on internal and external roads, caused a number of minor traffic accidents, as Abu Dhabi Police stated that the Al Ain tunnel, which led to the city of Al Ain, had been closed and drowned three cars inside the tunnel that was flooded with rain water.

The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police announced the activation of the speed reduction system to 80 kilometers on all external roads of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi due to bad weather conditions, calling on citizens and residents to stay away from valleys and places of rain water collection and adhere to safety instructions and instructions.

Abu Dhabi Police have called on motorists to adhere to speed on Abu Dhabi roads in times of fog and volatile weather conditions such as dust formation, dust accumulation or precipitation.

She explained that the speed of radar control in those conditions is the "speed" that is determined on the signs, traffic signs, or smart towers installed on the roads or by text messages or any other means that the competent authority deems necessary to inform the public at the time.

She cautioned drivers to be careful while driving a vehicle during rain, and to adhere to general safety conditions, to avoid accidents, reduce speed and leave a safety distance and to ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle's glass from the inside, and to inspect the "spaces" of the vehicle's glass, as well as lose the tires of the vehicle.

She called on drivers while their vehicles were exposed to minor traffic accidents or mechanical breakdowns during the rain to take them out of the road and use the nearest safe position and not to worry about the phone while driving and use it to photograph accidents, which is a very dangerous to public safety.
