The departments of private schools in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman have informed their students that the study is suspended today, while the Ministry of Education considered that Sunday (today) is an ordinary school day, noting that there is no decision to suspend study there.

In detail, the school administrations announced that they will suspend studying tomorrow on their platforms on "Social Media", and by sending text messages to the families of students and their employees, including the Victoria School in Sharjah and Front Line in Ajman.

In its letter, the charitable schools confirmed that the school should be suspended, on Monday morning.

In a message on Facebook on behalf of its Director General, Dr. Muhammad Suleiman Shaath, the private schools said: “In the interest of the General Administration of Schools, the safety of students and employees working in schools, and due to the accumulation of rain in various streets in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, and in the yards of private schools, It was decided to disable the workers and students on Sunday (today), and the leave includes everyone for their safety.

The Sadiq Islamic English School in Dubai notified its students that "because of the bad weather conditions and to ensure the safety of our students, parents and staff, our school will be closed," adding: "We very much hope and expect to open again on Monday."

The American Knowledge School in Dubai said: "Today we noticed the floods in the school and on the roads, and there are predictions that rain will continue, so we decided, in the interest of students’ safety, to close the school on Sunday. "

For its part, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai stated that school administrators have the authority to make a decision to suspend studies in rainy and bad weather conditions, according to the assessment of the case, in order to preserve the safety of students.

Sharjah Education Council also decided that today will be an official holiday for all government nurseries in Sharjah.

The Secretary-General of the Sharjah Education Council, Mohammed Al-Mulla, stressed that government nurseries in Sharjah are apologizing for not receiving their dear children, on Sunday, due to the fluctuations in weather and weather conditions.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Education informed «Emirates Today» that (Sunday) is the first day of the second semester, and there is no delay in studying in it due to rain.

She added that the decision to suspend studies in schools affected by rain is due to the evaluation of school administrators, in order to preserve the safety of students and school workers.

The Ministry assured the newspaper that it is monitoring schools in terms of their readiness to receive students, adding that based on the degree of readiness, and according to the assessment of the weather situation from the competent authorities, the suspension of the study will be assessed or not.
