- It is an internal process, but we have found a way forward that we think we are happy with, says Pär Gustafsson to SVT News.

Party leadership in Stockholm has also been involved in the issue. In Munkedal, the Liberals together with the Moderates control a minority. In order to govern, agreements have been made with the Swedish Democrats.

This is what has made both members threatened by exclusion. Now the threat of exclusion is gone, but if something also changes in the relationship between the Liberals and the Swedish Democrats in Munkedal is obscured.

- It is the relationship with the Swedish Democrats that has been the driving point, but it is about a continued internal process, says Pär Gustafsson. The chairman of the Liberal Youth League in Western Sweden, Soroush Rezai, who pushed on the issue of exclusions, is disappointed.

- I think it's boring. We had hoped that the exclusions would be appealed to the party board so that they could have given an indication of what was the case. Can the Liberals make deals with the Sweden Democrats or not? How should we interpret the decisions in the party that say we should not cooperate with the Sweden Democrats? Unfortunately, this is not the case, says Soroush Rezai.

SVT has unsuccessfully sought Karin Blomstrand, group leader for the Liberals in Munkedal.
