The semi-official Iranian news agency Fars reported in a rare report about anti-government protests that protesters chanted slogans against the country's highest authorities in Tehran today, Saturday, after the Revolutionary Guards decided to shoot down the Ukrainian passenger plane.

The report stated that the demonstrators in the street also tore down pictures of the Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Qods Force, of the Revolutionary Guards, who was killed by Washington in a strike plane.

The agency, widely viewed as being close to the Revolutionary Guards, showed pictures of a group of people and a torn picture of Soleimani. Fars reported that the number of protesters is estimated at 700 to 1,000 people.
