“The accelerated decision-making process by the minister is associated with the need to comply with the maximum period of pre-trial detention of 30 months,” RIA Novosti quoted a representative of the Ministry of Justice as saying.
It is noted that lawyers demanded to cancel the decision of the Ministry of Justice to extradite Vinnik to France, the USA and Russia.
It is clarified that under the Greek constitution, a person cannot be held in pre-trial detention for more than 18 months without a guilty verdict.
