Start analysis of black box

An Iranian investigative committee said that a Ukrainian airliner had crashed after taking off from Iran's airport and had begun analyzing a black box in which cockpit conversations and other recordings were made. The government will seek cooperation from each country if necessary, and it is hoped that it will promote the transparency of the investigation and control Europe and the United States, which show that Iran has shot down by mistake.

Ukrainian Airways flight 752 from Iran to Ukraine crashed shortly after taking off at an airport near the capital Tehran on the 8th, killing nearly 180 passengers and crew.

Western countries have said that Iran had been shot down by missiles accidentally, but a chief of Iranian aviation officials denied the view again at a press conference held yesterday.

According to the Iranian state news agency, an Iranian investigative committee said Tuesday that it has begun analyzing a black box where cockpit conversations and other events are recorded at a laboratory at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran.

If the data on the crash could not be obtained on its own, they agreed to obtain cooperation from Russia, Ukraine, France and Canada.

In addition to Ukrainian investigators already in the country, experts from the United States, Canada and France will arrive and join the investigative committee to investigate the cause.

Iran seems to have the aim of promoting the transparency of the investigation and overcoming Western countries that point out the possibility of shooting down.

Some airlines forego operations

Austrian Airlines in Europe announced on October 10 that it will suspend service on January 20 for direct flights between the Austrian capital, Vienna, and the Iranian capital, Tehran.
As for the reason, "the safety situation in the airspace around Tehran has changed."

Lufthansa Airways of Germany also plans to suspend direct flights between Frankfurt and Tehran on January 10 until January 20.

It is probable that Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau has decided to suspend the service on the 9th, indicating that Ukrainian Airline's passenger aircraft had been shot down by Iran.

Sweden to suspend Iranian flights for the time being

Swedish transport authorities have announced on October 10 that Iran Air will be shut down between Sweden and Iran for the time being. The reason for the suspension of operation was "because of the crash of the passenger aircraft and the uncertainty regarding the safety of commercial aircraft operation".

The Ukrainian airliner crashed in Iran this time had seven Swedes on board.

Flower table at Ukrainian airport

At the Borispol airport in Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine, a flower tribute was set up in memory of the nine Ukrainian Airways crew members who were victims of the crash.

The crew's remains were placed on the donation stand, and on the 10th, citizens flew in bouquets one after another and tears were seen.

A man visiting the tribunal said, "The aircraft should have been well-maintained. I don't think the most experienced crew members in Ukraine made a mistake."

The Ukrainian government claims that the crash killed 11 Ukrainians, including two passengers and nine crew members.
