When the big investigation against Kindberg, a Sollefteå entrepreneur and a Peab employee started, the municipality of Östersund chose to report to police against, among others, Daniel Kindberg.

Part of that notification was just about the land deal. It was considered that the land was bought at an excessively high price and that there could be something obscure behind it.

Draw line

The police report was incorporated into an ongoing investigation, but here the prosecutor has now drawn a line, as crime cannot be substantiated. This is probably why this is the end of the tours of the land business.

- But the investigation continues after all about other parts. Therefore, preliminary investigation confidentiality still exists, so we do not get any details about what the investigation has concluded, says the municipal council Bosse Svensson (C).

In a press release, written by Bosse Svensson in the role of chairman of Rådhus AB, the parent company of Östersundshem, he says that 200 million disappeared in an unjust way.

- Our goal is for Östersund's taxpayers to get back as much of this money as possible, says Svensson.

If the investigation is now rolling on, it can be said that it concerns corruption suspicions against Daniel Kindberg and Östersundshem's former vice president. Here, among other things, there is a consultancy agreement between these two on the one hand and on the other hand a large supplier to Östersundshem.

The attack houses are examined

Here, among other things, the deal is examined when Östersundshem bought 100 attefall houses during the large wave of refugees in 2015. That deal was 30 million more expensive than expected.

- We can't do much other than wait for the on-going investigation before deciding on the next step, says Bosse Svensson.
