“Under the chairmanship of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, a working meeting began on issues related to the crash of an Ukraine International Airlines airline plane that took place on January 8 in Tehran,” the Ukrainian leader’s website said in a statement.

It is noted that the meeting is attended by Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andrii Zagorodniuk, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadim Pristayko and representatives of other departments.

“Vladimir Zelensky will hear a report from the operational headquarters on the current situation around the plane crash,” the press service said.

Earlier it was reported that the plane of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with a group of experts flew to Iran, where on Wednesday, January 8, the Ukrainian liner of the International Airlines of Ukraine (UIA) crashed shortly after its departure from Tehran Airport.

According to some reports, 177 people were on board the Boeing 737 of the Ukrainian airline, no one survived.
