HBO is currently negotiating the adaptation in mini-series of the film "Parasite", with the maneuver the director of the feature film, Bong Joon-ho, indicated Thursday to AFP the American cable channel.
According to the specialized site Deadline, several television players were on the ranks to acquire the project, including Netflix, which had produced "Okja" (2017), the previous film by Bong Joon-ho.
In addition to the South Korean director and several of his usual collaborators, production would be ensured by the director of the film "Vice", Adam McKay, who is also producer and screenwriter.
Palme d'or of the last Cannes festival, "Parasite" has enjoyed worldwide success since its release, from South Korea to the United States, via Europe.
In total, the film has earned $ 130 million to date according to the specialized site Box Office Mojo, including 24 in the United States.
"Parasite" won the prize for the best foreign language film (other than English) on Sunday at the Golden Globes, awards presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The Oscar nominations will be announced on January 22.
