"The department has completed the precautionary measures and plans to develop and expand rainwater drainage networks in preparation for the rainy season," said the deputy director of the General Services Department and head of the Emergency Committee in the Public Services Department in Ras Al Khaimah, adding that it "intensified its efforts through programs and mechanisms to deal with Any emergency, in the interest of public safety. ”

He explained that «immediately after the accumulation of rain clouds, the state of alert was raised and the necessary preparations made, and the deployment of the concerned teams, tanks, disguises and pumps to withdraw the collected water in low-lying residential areas and vital roads, to avoid traffic jams or rain water entering homes.

He added that «mechanisms, equipment and pumps were distributed in several regions in the emirate, the most important of which are the northern regions, Jabal Jis, Shamal, Rams, Al Hail and the central regions (Ras Al Khaimah, Al Dhait, and the southern regions), and 23 (shekels) were deployed in several areas, and 20 pumps to draw rain water.

Al Shamsi stressed that "the emergency room in the department is working around the clock, through the toll-free number 8008118, to receive reports from residents regarding water gathering in front of housing or on roads, and other reports."
