Many questions remain unanswered in the Loire after the death of a 16-year-old teenager, hit Tuesday evening by cars in Firminy, while crossing the RN88. The first elements of the investigation and the use of video surveillance images revealed that at the time of the fatal accident, the victim was accompanied by another young person, who disappeared after the death of his comrade, reports Le Progrès.

A call for witnesses was launched by the motorway CRS in charge of the investigation to find this boy, who crossed the national road first, almost missing his car if he was struck by the car, before the second adolescent was hit by full force by a second and then a third vehicle.

On the run ?

Investigators are wondering in particular what could have pushed the two young people to cross this expressway, devoid of lighting at the level of the accident area. Were they being chased, did they feel threatened? Only certainty: no police patrol was engaged in a prosecution in this sector around 6:40 pm Tuesday, during the drama.

To advance the investigation and find the second adolescent present that evening, the motorway CRS invites people likely to have information to contact the investigators on 04 77 91 50 50, requesting the legal support group, or to go to the motorway PC of Villars.
