General Khalifa Haftar rejected the Libyan ceasefire proposal put forward by Russia and Turkey yesterday. Haftar spokesman: Tripoli militias must be wiped out
"A civilized state cannot be created without the total annihilation of these formations: these groups have taken over the capital and enjoy the support of some states and governments that provide them with drones" said the spokesman for the self-styled Libyan National Army, Ahmed to Mismari, without directly mentioning Turkey. The countries that "support the formations in Tripoli", said the spokesman for Khalifa Haftar's forces, are bringing "a large number of terrorists from all over the world to Libya to fight the" Libyan armed forces ".

"We need a political process"
The "need for stability, security and democratic reform and the resumption of the political process" was affirmed in the statement by which the forces of General Khalifa Haftar (LNA) rejected the proposal for a ceasefire in Libya. Ahmed al-Mismari said that the need also concerns "agreeing on a national framework that ensures a fair distribution of Libyan resources without exclusion or marginalization". The "base", he added, is however "the disarmament of all militias".
