Tiger Woods will debut in 2020 at the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego from January 23 to 26, the 15-time Grand Slam American golfer announced on Thursday.

Already titled eight times at the Torrey Pines Golf Course, Tiger Woods, 44, will have the opportunity to beat the record of victories on the North American professional golf circuit (PGA), which he currently co-owns with Sam Snead ( 82 successes).

Woods started his season with a victory at the Zozo Championship (Japan) in October, then led the Americans to victory in the Presidents Cup as captain.

He is expected in April at Augusta to compete for the Masters, 85th Major in his career, and try to approach the record of 18 Grand Slam titles, held by Jack Nicklaus.
