Emmanuel Macron goes Friday evening January 10 before the Citizens Convention on Climate (CCC) which must propose measures against global warming by the month of April. The President of the Republic will answer the questions of the 150 citizens drawn by lot who make up this body.

This is not a big debate, but it may resemble it even if at the Élysée Palace we warn that Emmanuel Macron is not going to give a lecture on the environment and that he comes at the request of the members of the Citizens' Convention to answer their questions. In other words, he does not want to give the impression that it is he who is pulling the strings.

But all the same, at the start of 2020, the president does want to stage his environmental ambition. On December 31, during his vows to the French, he affirmed his desire to make ecology one of the pillars of Act 2 of his five-year term. It is therefore a question of moving from words to actions.

In his entourage, we recognize, there is work to concretize the ecological commitment in the daily life of the French. To not only appear as the president of major flights in international arenas such as the G7 in Biarritz when fires ravaged the Amazon rainforest.

Emmanuel Macron is therefore starting an environmental sequence in which he has already entered several important meetings on his agenda. In particular that of the World Congress of Nature organized in June in Marseille and which he intends to make a platform.
