- Americans should be happy. No Americans were killed because of attacks on US targets, Donald Trump began his press conference after declaring that Iran during his time as president will not be allowed to have nuclear weapons.

During the press conference, Donald Trump called the slain Iranian top general Qassem Soleimani the world's leading terrorist, who, he said, has both American and Iranian blood on his hands.

According to Donald Trump, Qassem Soleimani must have been behind the attack on the US embassy in Baghdad on New Year's Day and that he planned new attacks on US targets.

"But we stopped him," Donald Trump said at the press conference.

Attacked the nuclear agreement

However, some new threats of counter-attacks did not include Donald Trump during the press conference. Instead, he toned down the conflict.

- Our missiles are big, deadly and fast. The fact that we have military equipment does not mean we have to use it, we do not want to use it, Donald Trump said.

He continued later:

"We want the Iranian people to have a fantastic future, the United States is prepared to have peace with all who seek it," he said.

However, he plans new sanctions on Iran and at the same time urges NATO to become more involved in the Middle East.

He also entered into the nuclear agreement with Iran, which the US has left, and urged the other countries that signed the agreement, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, France and Germany to follow the US example.
