The French Men's and Women's Volleyball Championships will be broadcast on "Sport en France", the television channel of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF), the National Volleyball League (LNV) announced on Tuesday during a press briefing. at the Ministry of Sports.

A maximum of 25 matches, including the first on January 18 between Narbonne and Montpellier in men's A League, will thus be broadcast until the summer, divided between 10 regular season matches (male and female) and fifteen play matches -offs -a men's quarterfinal, a half men's and a half ladies and all of the finals.

To finance production costs (around 250,000 euros), the National Sports Agency, created last year and fully funded by the state, provides assistance of 100,000 euros. The rest will be funded by the LNV through the clubs and its partner Molten, as well as a portion of the CNOSF.

The ANS will also pay 50,000 euros for the LNV television channel on the Internet.

After the success of Euro-2019 volleyball (81,600 spectators in France between Montpellier, Nantes and Paris on an initial objective of 70,000), the discipline is in search of media exposure, while the Men's A League did not have broadcaster for the 2018/19 regular season and that the final has been broadcast on the local Via network.

"Sport in France" is a channel launched by the CNOSF and the private group Media 365 at the end of May 2019. It is available free of charge on the bouquets of the main operators, as well as on the Internet and already broadcasts certain meetings of French male and female clubs in the League volleyball champions (three for Tours, three for Cannes and three for Nantes).

Thanks to an agreement with the Women's Handball League in mid-September, this season it broadcasts 20 matches of the French women's championship, allowing media exposure after the breakdown of negotiations with beIN Sports.
