It was on October 8 last year that an employee of the Jönköping County Region did not show up at his workplace. The reason stated by the employee was that he did not have the money to refuel gasoline in his car.
However, despite the fact that the manager in charge on two occasions stated that it was not a valid reason for staying home from work and that the action could lead to consequences, the employee still chose to stay home from work for this reason.
The employee is now warned by his employer who writes in the written warning that continued neglect can lead to dismissal.
