“The Secretary General is following with concern the events related to the election of the President of the National Assembly, which are increasingly hampering the dialogue that is so necessary now,” RIA Novosti quoted the statement of the official representative of the Secretary General Stefan Dujarrick.
It is noted that the Secretary General called on "all participants to immediately take steps to reduce tension."
Earlier it became known that Russia considers it legitimate the election of MP Luis Parra as the new head of the Venezuelan National Assembly instead of the opposition leader Juan Guaido.
