Polish ski jumper Dawid Kubacki won the prestigious Four Springboard Tour for the first time in his career, with a victory on the last stage in Bischofshofen (Austria) on Monday.

Present in the World Cup for more than ten years, this victory is a real consecration for the Pole, 29 years old, who had won only one success so far in his career in the World Cup. The 2019 world champion is ahead of the Tour ranking by the Norwegian Marius Lindvik and the German Karl Geiger.

Dawid Kubacki was the most consistent on the competition started on December 29 in Oberstdorf (Germany). He first placed 3rd in the first two competitions in Germany, before finishing 2nd in Innsbruck on Saturday, allowing him to take the lead in the classification which he was able to keep on Monday with a victory.

Kubacki notably benefited from the disintegration of the big favorite Ryoyu Kobayashi: author of the Grand slam last winter, the Japanese won the first stage at Oberstdorf before disappointing on the other three jumps (4th, 14th then 7th Monday).
