The Minister of Economy Bruno Le Maire said Monday favorable to the organization of a "financing conference" as proposed by the CFDT.

It is "a very good proposal," said the minister on France Inter, adding that it was necessary to "grab the hand that was extended by the CFDT".

The secretary general of the CFDT, Laurent Berger, pleaded Sunday for the organization of a "conference of financing" of the retirement system separate from the bill currently in preparation, while the union remains opposed to the establishment of a pivotal age.

"Banco for this conference", insisted Bruno Le Maire, even if he considered that the pivotal age is "a good solution", while the Prime Minister will open Tuesday a session of discussions with the social partners to end the conflict on pension reform.

"But let's not prejudge the results of this conference in advance," he added.

He also considered that the idea of a temporary discount in the event of retirement before the pivotal age, as mentioned by the President of the National Assembly Richard Ferrand, was "a very good proposal".

"Everything that allows us to get out of the face-to-face, the conflict (...), everything is good," he said again.

"The compromise (on reform) has never seemed so close to me," said Le Maire.
