The representative of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Latvia Kaspar Galkin said that the Latvian military has stopped training and training with Iraqi security forces due to the aggravation of the situation in the Middle East.

The deadline for the participation of the Latvian military in the operation in Iraq is February 1, 2020.
Earlier, US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said that the US military has no plans to leave Iraq.
