January 06, 2020 About one hundred searches were carried out in the night in the high-density delinquent districts of Foggia by police, carabinieri and soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza. Investigators searched for weapons and drugs.

It is a response after the two arson attacks against two bars, the bomb that blew up a health manager's car and the murder of Roberto D'Angelo.

The operations were attended by men from the Central Operational Service, Ros, Gico, Crime Prevention Department, Puglia Hunters, Green Basques, Puglia Carabinieri Regiment, dog units and helicopters. Entire buildings were surrounded, especially in Viale Candelaro, the neighborhood where D'Angelo was killed on Thursday evening.

The goal - say the investigators - is to reaffirm the strong presence of the state in the area and restore confidence to the citizens of Foggia.
