She said: “In view of the wide spread and the large number of social media, the Ministry from time to time educates and warns the public about the drive behind what is published through these means of promoting health products or services that may have a lot of misleading and deception, and perhaps what enhances the efforts of the ministry in controlling practices Advertising is also the issuance of relevant laws that support these efforts, such as the law on controlling the media content of the National Media Council, and the law on the uses of information technology in the health field.

The Ministry clarified that it deals with health advertisements based on Cabinet Resolution No. (7) of 2007 regarding the health advertising system, which obliges each party that wishes to advertise any health service provided within the state by obtaining the approval of the Ministry, as a prerequisite for this announcement to come out The audience.

The Ministry confirmed the presence of inspectors working 24 hours a day, in all emirates, in coordination with local health authorities, its task is to audit and control this type of advertisement, and to take legal measures immediately in the event that any violation related to health ads is discovered and proven.

And she continued: «While the Ministry monitors some violations by some health institutions, it gives them a 72-hour period to remove the violation, and in the event that it deliberately does not remove it, the Ministry takes legal measures based on the legislation issued in this regard.

She stressed that it does not allow any doctor to practice the profession or an institution that provides health services without a license from one of the health authorities in the country, and it is not allowed to advertise any medical product unless it is registered with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, to protect the community of the state and to preserve its health and safety.
