He ended his January 1 in police custody. Gendarmes from the La Réole (Gironde) brigade arrested last Wednesday, an individual who had stolen the ambulance from the Smur (Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Service), who had just rescued him after a road accident.
Around 8:15 a.m., this driver had crashed, alone at the wheel of his vehicle, in front of the Morizès church, gendarmes report. Transported to the Langon hospital center for control exams, the man decided to return home around 11:15 am, and for that reason… Steal the vehicle of the SMUR which had transported him.
However, the individual eventually lost control of the emergency vehicle and ended up running in a field, where he was arrested.
