Monday, people discovered the body of an unconscious man lying next to his car at a place called "Courbas" in Varilhes, Ariège. Transported to Purpan hospital in Toulouse, Philippe Gales, a 55-year-old breeder, died a few hours later.
Investigators from the Pamiers brigade and those from the Toulouse research section investigated the neighborhood where the victim was killed. They quickly arrested a 72-year-old man living alone in the area. He was indicted for "intentional homicide" by the investigating magistrate of the Toulouse criminal center according to 100% radio information.
The septuagenarian, who lived alone, was imprisoned in the Seysses prison and a judicial investigation was opened to find out the reasons which led him to shoot his victim twice.
