The new commander of the Qods Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Ismail Qani, said that everyone should be patient to see the bodies of the Americans throughout the Middle East, in retaliation for the killing of his predecessor, Qassem Soleimani.

This came during a visit to Qani with the guide of the Iranian Republic, Ali Khamenei, the house of Soleimani, who was killed in an American raid in Iraq.

The Iranian leader announced the mourning three days, threatening the United States that his country's revenge would be "overwhelming", and vowed to act "against criminals whose hands were stained with his blood (Soleimani) and the blood of other martyrs."

The Iranian National Security Council said in a statement that the United States made "the greatest strategic mistake" in the region by assassinating Major General Qassim Soleimani.

In a statement issued yesterday, Friday, after the meeting discussed the response to the assassination of Soleimani, the council announced that this response will be in the appropriate place and time, and that revenge will be heavy and painful, and will include the entire Middle East region.

He added that he made the necessary decisions regarding the response to the assassination, and that Washington bore responsibility for its adventures.

American military reinforcements
In return, the Pentagon announced that it will send reinforcements to the Middle East following the assassination of Soleimani.

A ministry official told Agence France-Presse that the United States is deploying approximately 3,500 additional troops to the region to enhance the security of American sites.

Trump avoids war
But US President Donald Trump said that Soleimani's killing was intended to stop the war, not to start it, and accused him of responsibility for killing and wounding thousands of Americans over many years, and he thought he should have been killed a long time ago.

He continued, "We are not seeking to change the regime in Iran despite the regime's destabilizing behavior and actions in the region."

An American bombing targeted the commander of the Qods Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Organization, at dawn Friday near Baghdad International Airport.

Four other officers from the Quds Force were killed, along with Soleimani and the engineer, and American media said that the raid was carried out by a drone, while Iranian television said that American helicopters had carried out it.
