The night towards Saturday passes a low pressure east over northern Sweden, causing very strong wind in the mountain chain.

- East of the mountains, in central Norrland, there will also be some very hard winds at 21 to 24 meters per second. Even in the south along the west coast there is a risk of equally high wind speeds, says Marcus Sjöstedt and continues:

- If you have things in the garden that are at risk of flying away, it is time to pick them up.

SMHI has issued Class 1 warnings for the entire mountain chain, Jämtland County, inland Västerbotten County and the west coast. In the counties of Värmland, Uppsala and Södermanland too high flows are warned.

Decreases on Sunday

Even at sea, the winds become harsh - Class 1 warnings for snowfall are issued for all Swedish waters.

The winds gradually decrease over the weekend, but even the Saturday can get windy, especially in the mountain range.

- During Sunday night, a high-pressure ridge emerges and the winds decrease, says Sjöstedt.
