Earlier, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan approved a memorandum on military cooperation between Turkey and the Government of National Accord (PNS) of Libya.
Later, the PNS formally requested military assistance from Turkey.
The Turkish parliament approved a bill that provides for the sending of the Turkish military to Libya.
