- Of course, there may be a change of cover, but if it continues like this, the probability is that the winter will never come, says weather observer Lennart Karlsson at SMHI's manual measurement station in Falsterbo.
He looks up into the gray-cloudy mild weather above, a condition that according to forecasts appears to continue for the next ten-day period, adding:
- It has happened before that it has not been winter in Skåne, most recently two years ago. And last year we had by definition only one week of winter.
This does not mean that spring is already over the slopes, but that "autumn" still prevails. According to the definitions of meteorology, spring can only start on February 15.
