Several trees have fallen across roads in Västmanland: "The small roads are more vulnerable"

During Friday morning, several trees have been blown down in Västmanland, including Hallstahammar and Skultuna. According to the rescue service, there has been no accident or major traffic stop, but it is recommended to take other roads.

- The small roads are obviously more vulnerable than the major roads. For example, there are several small roads with lots of trees in Surahammar and Hallstahammar, says Frank Granat, internal commander of the Mälardalen Fire and Bedding Association.

According to the rescue service, there is a risk that the darkened trees may fall over vehicles and people. In some cases, a tree can block the entire roadway.
