In this way, the operator himself or herself can form an idea of, for example, an accident site and decide on relevant actions if someone is ill or injured.
One year of testingThe technology is now being used in Denmark after being tested for a year. Experience so far is that more than one in four video calls lead to a re-evaluation of what ambulance operations are needed.
While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, the caller may also receive other guidance, says Gitte Linderoth, for example, when someone has suffered a cardiac arrest.
