"A hand fighting cancer and a hand fighting corruption" .. A slogan raised by an Iraqi barber, who is ill with leukemia, stands on his feet in Baghdad's Tahrir Square to cut free the hair of protesters against the ruling parties.

Cancer did not preclude Muhammad Firas, 17, from participating in the protests that have ravaged Iraq since the beginning of last October.

Firas set up a tent that transported its tools in Tahrir Square in order to help the protesters keep their activity and freshness by cutting their hair and beards for free.

He said that he has been fighting cancer for four years, noting that the care of people with cancer is very weak and many patients lose their lives because of it, due to negligence and lack of appropriate treatment, and if they are available, their costs are too high for only the rich.
