Two young citizens died, and four others were injured, between critical and moderate, following a collision between two vehicles on the road to Azan Street - Al-Tawaen, south of Ras Al Khaimah.

The Chief Executive of the National Ambulance, Ahmed Saleh Al-Hajri, told «Emirates Today» that “a communication was received at the operations room, the evening of yesterday, at nine and six minutes, indicating the presence of injuries, following a traffic accident that occurred on the road to Azan - Al-Tawa’i south of the Emirate Ras Al Khaimah.

He added, "Immediately, seven ambulances and two first-response vehicles were sent to the scene of the accident, where it was found that there was one death at the scene of the accident, four critical cases, and one medium."

He reported that the injured people were transferred to Sheikh Khalifa Specialist Hospital in Ras Al-Khaimah and Dibba Al-Fujairah, and one critical death and case was transferred to Saqr Governmental Hospital, and one of the injured died while being transferred for treatment.

A source at Saqr Governmental Hospital in Ras Al-Khaimah said, “The Accident and Emergency Department received, yesterday evening, a young man who died at the scene of the accident, and another one with severe injuries, as a result of a severe traffic accident.” He added: “The injured was taken to the intensive care unit to receive Treatment, given his extreme health. ”

Bypass hatch

The accident occurred after a vehicle entered from the bypass road to the main road in the Adhan-Al-Tawaween area, south of Ras Al Khaimah, without making sure that the road was clear of vehicles, which resulted in the vehicle colliding with another vehicle coming from the correct road.
