As in previous years, many international teams participate in the cup. This year, participants will come from eight countries - such as Singapore, Switzerland and Latvia. A team of girls born in 2005 from northern Russia has traveled by bus and train for over two days to get to Uppsala.

"It is incredibly fun that so many teams try to get here year after year," says Peter Wennberg, who started the cup 28 years ago.

Sundsvall's IBF Södermalm floor team with girls born in 2005 is participating for the first time, and on Thursday they would play the premiere match.

- We tagged but also a little nervous. We meet a team from Linköping that we have never met before, says player Linnea Ström.
