Eleven months from the presidential election, Donald Trump continues to dominate the campaign finance race. The dismissal procedure initiated against him, it seems, enabled him to mobilize his support and attract new donors. Among Democrats, Bernie Sanders continues to fare well.

$ 46 million. This is the amount raised by Donald Trump's campaign team in the last quarter of 2019. Alone and without counting the funds raised by the Republican party that supports him, the president raised nearly $ 150 million during of the past year to finance his re-election.

" The president's campaign has only grown and strengthened while the Democrats were caught in hysteria around this bogus impeachment procedure ," analyzes his campaign director.

Democrats are indeed struggling to compete with these presidential fundraisers. Bernie Sanders , to the left of the party, nevertheless displays a very good result: despite a heart attack at the start of the quarter, he has raised $ 34.5 million in the past three months, a level never reached by his competitors.

The performance is all the more remarkable since the Vermont senator only uses small donors: the average amount of his contributions is only $ 18.
