“For the sake of what to refuse direct deliveries (gas from Russia. - RT ), it is difficult to explain. There are no violations of the rules of the Third Energy Package, ”the expert explained.

Dudchak emphasized that everyone hoped that there would be direct deliveries of Russian gas to Ukraine, and that they would be able to lower the price for the final consumer.

In his opinion, such a statement by Kuleba can be called excuses and an attempt to "throw dust in the eyes."

Earlier, Kuleba said Ukraine was not ready for direct gas supplies from Russia.

According to him, his goal as Vice Prime Minister is to ensure that the gas market of Ukraine operates solely on the basis of EU standards, the Third Energy Package.

As Kuleba noted, Russia should not use gas as an instrument of blackmail.

On December 31, Moscow and Kiev signed a package agreement that will allow the continuation of gas transit through Ukraine after January 1, 2020.
