A media company in China has come under heavy criticism after an angry employee posted a message stating that employees are fined 100 yuan (14 dollars), to ban their colleagues on WeChat.

A feature on this interactive platform allows the user to share a post that all friends can read, or create smaller groups of friends for private conversations and work-related groups, which can include colleagues who are not included in the user's friends list.

The angry employee's publication contained a list of the company's rules and justifications, noting that the company «wants to enhance frankness between colleagues and good relations, and the company encourages colleagues to add some of them as friends on (Weechat)», which enables the company’s management and all employees to read the user’s private and unrelated posts At work.

The employee said the company deducts 50 yuan for not including the company information in the employee's email signature. To that, the company's management stated that the fines and rules are explained in the rules of conduct well, and the employee confirms that they were not distributed at all, and it is not known whether the employee is still working for the company or his services have been terminated.

One of the internet users said: "If I work there, I will republish the commercials without interruption on the Wechat service only to annoy my colleagues and my boss at work."
