As a result of the incident, a 62-year-old resident of Avdeevka was injured. The culprit was detained after a couple of hours. He was intoxicated.
“Police found that a 36-year-old local resident came to visit his friends and took a grenade with him. The owner of the house was not happy with the guest and escorted him out of his yard. The offended attacker threw ammunition into the yard, from the rupture of which the man suffered, ”the message says.
The grenade thrower faces a sentence of imprisonment of up to 15 years.
Earlier, law enforcement officers at the Kiev Borispol airport found a grenade in the baggage of one of the passengers on the Kiev-Hurghada flight.
In June, in the Ukrainian Krivoy Rog, a man threw a RGD-5 grenade at a passer-by because of a conflict between them.
In mid-May, in a Luhansk region, a man blew up a grenade at a bank branch, resulting in six injured people, including a police officer. A few days later, in Kharkov, an unknown man blew up a grenade near one of the city’s residential buildings. The explosion killed two people.
Also on May 26 in the Odessa region, an unknown person threw a grenade into the courtyard of a private house. The explosion damaged the windows of the house and the car.
