The lifeless body of a 58-year-old woman was found at the foot of the cliffs of Veules-les-Roses, near Dieppe (Seine-Maritime), in the night from Wednesday to Thursday. According to the first elements of the investigation, the suicide hypothesis would be privileged.

The victim was apparently suffering from depression, according to investigators. She had texted her daughter on December 31, at 11:50 p.m., before turning off her cell phone, reports Les Informations Dieppoises .

Another woman found dead a few days earlier

After receiving this message, the victim's daughter raised the alarm. The gendarmes and firefighters who went to find him did not find his body until the following night. It seems that the fifties threw herself from the top of the cliff, causing a fatal fall.

Already on December 27, the body of a forties had been found not far from there, between Veules-les-Roses and Sotteville-sur-Mer (Seine-Maritime). The open investigation concluded that it was suicide. For the second victim, the investigators seem to be heading towards this same track.
